We are a hyper-local cafe focused on serving Kits Beach and the Kitsilano community.
We operate from April to October as an environmentally friendly coffee bike that runs on 100% solar energy gathered from its roof panel.
We serve pour over coffee, cold brew coffee and coffee popsicles made from single-origin fair trade sustainably-harvested beans roasted locally by Habitat Coffee Co. Our daily selection of pastries is supplied by local bakers and uses organic ingredients, and some items feature vegan protein from Botanica Health.
We are also partnered with numerous Kits-based small businesses and organizations that serve Kits and use the beach as part of their operation. This is our Live/Play/Support Local Program.
Our solar-powered bike cart is setup on Arbutus Street across from the volleyball courts early morning until we're sold out.
Besides making great coffee and
conversation, community is most
important to us.
Yours,
James & Sarah

Kits Beach Coffee Co. is committed to responsible business practices in all aspects of our activities. Priority is given to highlighting and contributing to Kitsilano and the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. Our health, community, and sustainability policy fortifies our company commitment to providing support, leadership, and contribution to our community of Kitsilano and specifically Kits Beach. Our green action plan, a living wage for employees, and a community dollar matching program are our cornerstone commitments. We might only be a seasonal coffee cart, but everything is an opportunity to be an integral example of how to be a good corporate citizen and neighbour.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Like you, we live in Kits and love it here! We’re at the beach playing every day of the year, so it only made sense to find a way to work here too.
Besides making great coffee and conversation, community is most important to us, which is why we have a Live/Play/Support LOCAL program for those in our community.
If you’re in Kits and have a small business or organization that uses the beach we provide a special offer for you and your clients, members or participants.
Get discounts off all orders for you and your clients, members or participants. If you’re running regular programs or classes at Kits Beach, we’d like to support your events.
Plus, for those businesses who choose to contribute to our annual Tip Matching Donation program you receive the above and a monthly client appreciation gift you can award to a client, member or participant.
We look forward to finding a way to work together.
Tip Matching Donation
When you leave a tip, it starts a domino of giving. Your 5% tip is wholly donated and matched by Kits Beach Coffee Co. and numerous small businesses and individuals in Kitsilano.
In 2020 the tip matching donation program raised and donated $4,000 to KAS and David Suzuki Foundation’s Ocean Conservation Programs. Contact us to get involved in 2021.
Where We Give
Settler Impact Policy
We acknowledge living and working on unceded Coast Salish lands of the Sen’ákw, Skwxwú7mesh, Musqueam and the Tsleil-Waututh Peoples. We will be contributing annually to organizations that directly support indigenous women and youth in our local community. This year we are supporting (BWSS) Battered Women's Support Services Programs.
Environmental Impact Policy
Our beaches and oceans are integral to life and need us to reduce our impact and contribute to positive climate change. As such we will be contributing annually to the David Suzuki Foundation’s Ocean Conservation Programs.
